WELLINGTON. May 19. At a public meeting in Petone an address was given by Mr T. Townsend on electoral reform and the restrictions imposed on Civil Servants. The meeting carried a resolution of protest against the restrictions now placed on tlie railway and civil servants in local ami political matters, and demanding that the Government introduce legislation to give all Government employees full civil and political rights.
