MARITIME LAW. .(By Telegraph—Pebbb Association—Copyright). COPENHAGEN, May IS. A. conference on maritime law discussed the validity of insurance of an enemy's goods in war time. Mr Edmund Beauchamp said that English underwriters would execute their liabilities without discriminating whether the policies were underwritten before or after a declaration of war. COMPANIES COMBINE TO INSURE. LONDON, May 19. Received May 19. 11.0 p.m. The British India. Cunard, Oceanic, Royal Mail and other Shipping Companies have combined to insure against wars and other contingencies on reasonable terms, instead of on the Pacific rates.
