DISINFECTANTS —GOOD AND BAD. United Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH. April 3, 1913. The Hospital Board had before it *•- day an interesting letter, from its bacteriologist on the subject of disinfectants. Ur Pearson said only one of the fluids submitted was really good; the others were practically useless as disinfectants. He had examined four powders and found all poor. He promised to submit a detailed report if asked. He further stated that an uncorked solution from one powder developed a vigorous growth of bacteria in a few days. Messrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd., has just received a telegram from, their Christchurch branch that their tender for Quibell’s “Kerol" Fluid Disinfectant (for which they are agents) has been accepted by the Christchurch Hospital and Charitable Aid Board. DALGETY & CO., LIMITED., SOLE AGENTS, INVERCARGILL.
