THE LEICHARDT TRAGEDY
GROSS PERJURY. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.—Copyright). SYDNEY, March 7. Received March 7, 9.45 p.m. An open verdict was returned at the Inquest on Acheson, who was killed in a brawl at Leichardt on February 18th. The Coroner said that he was quite satisfied that gross perjury had been committed. It was a pity that th© people who saw the occurrence did not have the sense of duty to come forward in the interests of justice.
