There is no rule to cover tiie matter, but as the majority is not a two-thirds one, the Miners' Executive suggests that the National Conference called for Saturday should recommend the resumption of work. SURFACEMEN'S DEMANDS. LONDON. April 5. Received April 6. 2.10 a.m. A mass meeting of South Wales surfacemen decided not to resume wonc until their demands had been conceded. The President of the Union denounced the miners' leaders for despising tiie men's claims.
