THE WEATHER
The following are the readings of the barometer of WILSON. FRASER & CO., the Siraight-deal and Great-value-for Money Cycle Agents, taken at 1 a.m. this morning.
WEATHER NOTES. For Week ending 28th October, 1910. Total rainfall, .57 inches ; No. of days on which rain fell, 4 ; No. of days on which no rain fell; 3., Most rain fell on Saturday, when .32 in. were registered. On the whole a fine week. Highest reading of barometer, 30.6 in.; lowest reading of barometer, 29.6 in. Maximum temperature (shaded), 77 deg. ; minimum temperature (shaded), 38 deg. Highest mean temperature or warmest day was Tuesday—temperature 63 deg; lowest mean temperature or coldest day’ was Saturday—temperature 52.5 deg. General direction of wind was westerly ; most wind on Wednesday ; on ( the whole a fairly calm week. Notes. —During the week the weather has been very mixed. Thunder clouds were present on Wednesday and Friday ; Sunday, Monday and Tuesday were very fine days. A violent storm, with rain, raged for about half-an-hour on Wednesday.
