Per United Press Association. By Electric Telegraph— Copyright. PERTH, Oct. 23. Admiral Fanshawe states that the conference with Sir Cyprian Bridge, of the China station, and Rear-Ad-miral Atkinson Willis, of the East India station, was held at Aquilla, Joh ore, 18 miles from Singapore. He could say nothing in regard to the conference. There were no disquieting symptoms with regard to the Eastern question. Everything was very quiet. H.M.S. Euryulus is expected at the beginning of Lhe year to replace the Royal Arthur, and the Psyche will relieve the Archer. Jn reply to an enquiry, ho said he did not think Fremantlo would become the West Australian naval base. Albany had a better harbour defence and was more suitable.
