Dunedin Markets.
(By TstKOßArn.) Dunkdin, July 15. Fat Cattle—l 77 yarded, a few head really prime,but major portion unfinished. Bullocks, LO 2s 6d to LIO 2s 6d; cows and heifers, L 4 15s to L 7 15s. Fat Sheep—224s penned. The quality was a decided improvement and included some specially prime three-quarterbred wethers But- ewes again preponderated ; anything in good killing order selling at about last week’s rates. Crossbred wethers (very heavy), 17s 6d; good, 15s to 15s 6d ; ewes, 12s lid to 13s 7d ; light, 10s to 13s. Wheat.—The demand is hardly so active is it was. Prime samples of velvet and Tuscan, however, sell at late rates, but medium and inferior are hard to place except at reduced rates; fowl wheat is easily placed. Prime velvet, 3s 9dto 3s lOd; Tuscan, 3s 7d to 3s BJd , medium, 3s 4d to 3s 6d; fowls’ feed, 2s lOd to 3s 3d— S! 'oats 1 .—There is a keen demand and all offering are readily taken up at market value. The arrivals are almost nil. While holders nre very firm and prices have therefore a hardening tendency, but until the outside markets respond a material advance can hardly bo looked for. Prime Sutherlands, Is lOd to Is IOJd ;do sparrowbills, Is 9}d to Is 9Jd; medium, Is S4d to Is 9d ; inferior, Is Cd to Is 7 Jd—sacks extra. Barley.—With the exception of an occasional inquiry there is absolutely no business doing. Prime malting (nominally), 3s to 3s 6d : milling, 2s 4d to -S 6d ; feed, 2s to 2s 3d—sacks extra.
