British and Foreign United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, Aug. 9. The yacht Ailsa won the Cowes Cup, beating the Prince of Wales’ Britannia by four minutes. She will also compete for the Australia Cup. The Australian Debentures Company is issuing at par L 50,000 worth of 4J per cent, mortgage debentures, to redeem terminable debentures. The directors of the Londonderry mine report that the unsettled question relating to Casey’s interests prevents the completion of the trust. Colonel North and Lord Fingall are prepared to execute. Unless the shareholders desire litigation the directors propose to comply with the demand of the Australian vendors of shares, though they are advised that the case is full of suspicion. Lord Fingall objects to the erection of machineiy until the mine is further proved,as he regards tbe prospects of success small. Only L 30,000 of working capital is available, irrespective of Colonel North’s trust. A meeting of shareholders is called for the 16th inst.
