At a metting of the Dock Trnst to-day a letter was received from Mcc, Billing and Co., London, stating tbat tha Hon. B. Campbell, in bia communication to tho London Standard, had not libelled them bnt the Dock Trnst, and this defence had .been set tip by the Standard when their writ had been served. They strongly urged the Trust to take action, bnt the Trust decided to adhere to their former decision —namely, to give all assistance, bnt not to take action.
