LONDON, July 26. Among the injured by the truck accicident at Portsmouth dockyard, was Captain Blackshaw, of New South \Valne,ooo of the competitors at the recent Wimbledon meeting, who received a rather severe contusion of the head. A sculling match is arranged to take place on September 18, between Gaudaur, the American oarsman and Beach, of Sydney. It has transpired that at an interview which took place on Saturday between Lords Salisbury and Hartington that the latter promised the support of his party to any measures introduced by the Conservatives dealing with tho Irish difficulty. It is expected that the position of Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs in the new Ministry will be filled by Earl Iddesleigh. PARIS, Joly 26. The first convoy of Recidivistes leave for New Caledonia on 15th Oct.
