1 (tfBCM OtIB OWN OOBBBSPOSDBNT.) : The spell of fin& harvesting weather has made bo* farmers all jubilant, notwithstanding the thin crop?, and the large number of (stacks around are a proof of the earnestness with ..which they have worked. It is a matter of regret that while so many are prepared for the threshing mill it should provokingly va^s their doors (for we are restricted to one mill) ana leave the district for an unlimited time to go to a large contract job at Caroline. I am informed of sevtral thus served, Should tome enterprising' taillowncr run in ia ihi meantime ho could depend upon at least a month's steady work. Our Boaooi ia closed for the harvest holidays, and teacher and assistant are enjoying their well-earntd vacation. One of our oldest and respected residents, Hr'Wm.* r D&&iel,' has gone Info private- life, having leased his hotel and faim to Mr Brown, of Winton. A formal opening is to be made on St. Patrick's Day. I bave no doubt the Dipton Hotel will lose none of its good reputation in Mr Brown's hands. 11th March, 1886.
