IiHE Clerk of the Invercargill District Road Board has been instructed to summons the whole of the ratepayers seriatim who have neglected to pay their rates to date j also to take the necessary steps to secure the rates on property belonging to abßenieo owner?, in terms of Act of Agsembly for the recovery of arrears of rates. IN reference to an advertisement that appeared in the Southland Times, dated 11th inst., signed D.Rosß,we have to inform the members of the Invereargill Division, No. 44, Sons of Temperance, that the said D. Ross has no claim to be called a Son of Temperance, seeing that, according to the Financial Secretary's books, the said D. Ross is thirty-two weeks in arrears in his contributions, which fact, according to Rule 66 of the Invercargill Division, No. 44, disqualifies the said D. Ross from having any olaim to be called a Son of Temperance ; and, moreover, the said D.
