THE Committee of the Invercargill Total Abstinence Society, having long felt Jthe desirability of their possessing a proper place of meeting, have much pleasure in informing their friends that they have now secured a site for a Temperance Hall in Spey-street, near Kelvinstreet, and are desirous for them to give their countenance and co-operation in raising funds for this purpose. As it is proposed to hold a Bazaar in the end of March, or beginning of April, in aid of this object, friends are respectfully invited to assist, in order to make it a success. Election of Lay Representatives of the United Church of England and Ireland in Neio Zea' land to serve in the First Synod of the Diocese of Dunedin, to be held at Dunedin on April Ith, 1869. I HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that I have received the nomination of the following persons as candidates proposed for the representation of the District of Invercargill in the first Synod of the Diocese of Dunedin : — Thomas Pbatt, Fbbd.
