The tenders may state the sum for which the whole or any portion of the foremenfcioned services will be undertaken. The contract to commence on January Ist, 186-1, and to continue in forco until the expiration of six calendar months' notice to be given by either of the parties to the other of his intention to determine the samo ; provided always that the contract shall not' terminate before the 31st day of December, 1864. The tenders to be endorsed "Tenders for tho New Zealand Mail Services," to be addressed to the Postmaster General of New Zealand, and to be posted afc Dunedin nofc later than the 18th day of September next.
