There is very little doing on thesa diggings ; in fact, the place is, comparatively speaking, deserted. I expect, however, there will be more rushes in that direction. Statement of out-turn of parcel of Nokomai gold purchased at Dunedin : — Nokomai. After melting. Assay. 6 OE9. 5 ozs. 12 dwts. 18 g. 22.1 6-8 By this statement it appears that the extreme value of the gold is 70s , not allowing any margin of profit.
