A'SPLENDID SALE. There was a record attendance at Messrs Wm. Todd and Co.'s Rialto on Saturday evening last, when the auctioneers submitted 24 sections: for sale. Mr Wm. Todd, senr., conducted the sale in line style, and the Union should he well satisfied with the results., Bidding was brisk, and no doubt the ground will soon have a number of residences. The following were the purchasers ; —Sec. 1, block 6, Robert Galbraith ; sec. 2, blk. 6 J. H. Thomson ; sec. 3 blk. 6, Mrs E, Wallace ; sec. 4, blk 6, A Lyons ; secs. 5 and 6, blk. 6, W. J. Boyce ; sec. 7, blk. 6, L. Lumsdeu ; sec. 8, blk. 6, T. Sim : sec. 9, blk. 6, C. R. 5, Barrett ; secs. 10,. 11, and 12, blk. G, H. Preston ; secs. 1,2, and 3, blk. 7. J. T. Alexander ; secs. 4 and 5. blk. 7, C. R. S. Barrett ; secs 6,7, and 8, blk. 7, Jas. Kirkland ; sec. 9. blk. 7, A. R. Leckie ; sec. 12, b-k. 7, Selina Stott ; secs. 10 arid 11, blk. 7. E. R. Roberts ; making a total of £IBSO. The top price obtained was £IOO, the lowest figure £57 10s, and' the average over £BO.
