ANNUAL MEETING. , A SUCCESSFUL YEAR. The annual meeting' of above was held on Monday last, and was well attended. The report and balancesheet were adopted. The report stated that the cheese made was all of first grade, and realised excellent prices ; while the suppliers had been paid lOd and lid for their butter fat, which should be extremely satisfactory to all concerned. The shareholders, whether suppliers or not, were paid a dividend of 5 per cent., aad a balance of £l3 6s 4d was carried forward. The following' directors were elected for the ensuing term : —Messrs 80, Stirling (chairman)., G-. Morton, -las. Uuthic, A.. H. Paddon, Jas. Crighton, J. A. Stirling, and M. McKenzie. The secretary (Mr YV. R. Baird) resigned. He has sold his farm to Air Stephenson, a farmer from Chatton. Mr H. C. Niven was appointed secretary. Mr John Stevens was appointed factory manager in place of Mr Kidd. The latter gentleman intends trying his fortune in the famous Taranaki district.

During the year they have paid £lls in salaries ; £833 13s lO.d for milk ; preliminary expenses ai - e set down at £SO ; repairs to factory, over £2O ; fuel, over £4O, and manufacturing;, over £4:5, On the other hand the cheese account stands at £1248 10s 9d, and the factory and plant is valued a‘t £450. A hearty vote of thanks was passcl to the retiring' directors. The farmers in the disTrict should rally round this deserving institution, which, besides giving employment gives splendid prices for their butter, fat.
