Messrs J. A. Mitchell and Co. report as follows ; We had an entry of about 80 ‘horses last Saturday. The competition, although dull for aged draughts'- and .weedy hacks, was good for sound young' draughts, and of this class we sold most of those entered at prices quite equal to those lately ruling. 'The following are some of the sales effected and prices obtained ;—On account of Mr TL Carswell, a 4-yr-old gelding and filly at £42 and £42 10s respectively ; on account of other vendors, 1 draught mare £47, one do £44, one. gefding £42, other useful sorts, weedy and aged £8 to £4, with very small demand for the; latter class.
