The newly-formed Southland Coursing Club hold their first run on Wednesday and Thursday, 7th and Bth August. Quite a n interest has been taken, and the club has now a strong, membership. The prizes are on a most liberal scale. No doubt there will be a very large attendance of the public. The management is in the hands of Mr A'. A. Paape, and he is as energetic an officer as the club could wish for. The judge is Mr L. Put ledge, and the slipper Mr Henderson, both gentlemen coming from (Dunedin.
