With two or three exceptions the draughts were a very medium lot. being for the greater part aged horses, which at present arc difficult to place. There is, however keen demand for sound young draughts, and when forward full values are obtainable. In the light class there was a consignment from Mr J. T. Dallington. of Christchurch, and with one exception the lot was cleared as from £ls to £lB 10s for best sorts, the latter price being obtained for the pacing horse Enchanter (by Rothschild) ; others £l4 to £9. Draughts.—Useful animals. £33 to £43. which figure was obtained for a nice 6-year-old mare, ordinary £3l to £24 : old stagers to £6.
