CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS, 1906. TRAIN ARRANGEMENTS. MONDAY, 24th DECEMBER. Special train will leave Invercargill 11.25 p.m. on 24th, Woodlands 11.53 Edendale 12.28 a.m. on 25th, Matanra 12.51, Gore 1.17, Pukerau 1142 Waipahi 2.4, Clinton 2.50, arriving Dunedin 6.45 a.m. on 25th. Between Invercargill and Clinton this train will stop only at stations mentioned above. North of Clinton train will stop at all stations if required. Special train will leave Dunedin 11.20 p.m. on 24th, Clinton 3.45 a-m. on 25th, Gore 5.5, arriving Invercargill 6.50 a.m. on 25th. This srain will stop at all stations between Invercargill and Clinton if required. South of Clinton will stop to allow passengers from north thereto alight only. The usual 2.18 p.m. train Clinton to Invercargill will leave Clinton 2.40 p.m.. Gore 4.45 (connecting with train to Lumsden), Edendale 5.52, arriving Invercargill 7.30 p.m. Special train to Woodlands will leave Invercargill at 10.35 p.m., returning leaving Woodlands 11.54 p.m. Special trains will leave Invercargill for Bluff 3.15 p.m. and 10.30 p.m., returning leaving Bluff 9.20 p.m. and 11.35 p.m. Special train will leave Waimahaka 4.55 p.m., arriving Invercargill 6.50 p.m. Special train will leave Waimahaka 8.0 p.m., arriving Invercargill 9.20 p.m. Special train will leave Invercargill 10.0 p.m., arriving Waimahaka 11.30 p.m. The usual Monday train leaving Waimahaka for Invercargill at 12.45 p.m. will NOT run. CHRISTMAS DAY, TUESDAY, 25th DECEMBER, the WHOLE OF THE TRAINS in the INVERCARGILL DISTRICT will be SUSPENDED, with the following exceptions : The Express trains between Invercargill and Christchurch, and the Mail trains between Invercargill and Dunedin. The 10.20 a-m. Invercargill to G,inton train will leave Clinton at 2.30 p.m.. Gore 4.15 p.m., arriving Invercargill 6.25 pun. The 9.55 a.m. Edievale to Waipahi and the 1.50 p.m. Waipahi to Edievale. The 10.55 a.m. Kingston to Gore, and the 1.3 p.m. Gore to Kingston. Trains will leave Glenham for Edendale at 12.40 p.m, and Wyndham for Edendale at 1.5 p.m. and 2.0 p.m. Trains will leave Edendale for Wyndham at 1.35 p.m. and 2.27 p.m. and Wyndham for Glenham at 2.45 p.m. Trains will leave Invercargill for Bluff at 9.10 a.m., 11.25 a.m., 2.30 p.m.. and 6.0 p.m., returning from Bluff at 10.15 a.m., 12.30 p.m., 6.0 p.m. and 7.0 p.m. Train will leave Invercargill a t 8.30 a.m., Winton 9.35, arriving Lumsden at 10.57 a.m., returning leaving Lumsden at 4.30 p.m., Winton . 5.56, arriving Invercargill at 6.50 p.m. Train will leave Invercargill at 9.0 a.m., Thornbury 10.10 (connecting witn train from Nightcaps), Riverton 10.30, Colac 10.57, arriving Orepuki 11.27 a.m., returning leaving Orepuki at 4.40 p.m., Colac- 5.10, Riverton 5.40, Thornbury 6.1. (connecting with train to Nightcaps), arriving Invercargill 7.10 p.m. Train will leave. Nightcaps at 8.30 a.m., Thornbury 10.7 (connecting with train to Orepuki, arriving Invercargill 11.12 a.m., returning leaving Invercargill at 4.40 p.m., Thornbury 6.0 (connecting with train from Orepuki), arriving Nightcaps 7.35 p.m. Steamer will run between Kingston and Queenstown as usualBOXING DAY, 26th DECEMBER. Special train will leave Invercargill 10.15 p.m. on 26th, Wood/ands 10.44 Edendale 11.11, Mataura 11-32, Gore 11.54. Pukerau 12.17 a.m. on 27th, Waipahi 12.37, Clinton 1.25, arriving Dunedin 4.50 a.m. on 27th. Between Invercargill and Clinton this train will stop only at stations mentioned above. North of Clinton will stop at all stations if required to allow passengers from South thereof to alight. Special train will leave Dunedin 9.40 p.m. on 26th, Clinton 1.25 a.m. on 27th, Gore 2.45, arriving Invercargill 4.30 a.m. on 27th. South of Clinton this train will stop to allow passengers from north thereof to alight only. Will also stop at any station, whore required, between Dunedin and Clinton to pick up passengers for South of Clinton. Usual 2.18 train Clinton to Invercargill will leave Clinton 3.0 p.m..
Gore 5.5, Edendale 6.14, arriving Invercargill 7.55 p.m. Special train will leave Gore 6.25 p.m., Edendale 7.35, arriving Invercargill 9.0 p.m. Usual 4.15 train Invercargill to Clinton will leave Invercargill 6.10 p.m., Edendale 7.40, Gore 8.40, arriving Clinton 10.16 p.m. i Evening train for Glenham will leave Edendale 7.43 p.m. (after arrival of trains from Invercargill and Gore), Wyndham 8.2 p.m., arriving Glenham 8.32 p.m. Ordinary timetable on Bluff line suspended. i Trains leave Invercargill for Bluff 7 a.m., 9.10 a.m., 11.6 a.m., 11.25 a.m., 2.10 p.m., 3.50 p.m., 5.20- p.m, 6 p.m., 8.35 p.m., and 10.45 p.m. Trains leave Bluff for Invercargill 8.5 a.m., 10.15 a.m., 12.30 p.m. (connecting with mail train Invercargill to Dunedin),- 1.45 p.m., 4.10 p.m., 5.28 p.m., 6.30 p.m., 7.30 p.m, 9.35 p.m., and 11.50 p.m. Train leaves Invercargill for Clifton 12.10 p.m. Train leaves Clifton for Invercargill 5.36 p.m. Afternoon train to Waimahaka will leave Invercargill 6.50 p.m.,, arriving Waimahaka 8.35 p.m. The usual Wednesday train leaving Invercargill for Waimahaka at 1.15 p.m., and returning leaving Waimahaka for Invercargill at 4.55 p.m. will NOT run. Special train will leave Invercargill 10.25 a.m., arriving' Winton 11.35 a.m. Special train will leave Invercargill 5.25 p.m., arriving Winton 6.40 p.m. Afternoon train to Lumsden will leave Invercargill 6.35 p.m., Winton 8.3, arriving Lumsden 9.55 p.m. ( connecting" with Mararoa Branch train). Special tralni will leave Winton 8.00 a.m., arriving Invercargill 10.23 a.m. Afternoon train from Lumsden to Invercargill will leave Lumsden 4 p.m., Winton 6-5, arriving Invercargill 7.15 p.m. Morning train from Orepuki will not lift passengers- between Makarewa and Invercargill. The ordinary 8.55 a.m. train to Orepuki will NOT lift pats-s-engers- at Invercargill' or Grasmere for Riveiton. Special train will leave Invercargill 9.35 a.m., arriving - Riverton 10.58 a.m. This train will lift passengers at Invercargill and Grasmere only, and for Riverton only. Special train will leave Invercargill 10 a.m., arriving Riverton 11.21 а. This train will not stop at wayside stations. Special train, will leave Invercargill 12 noon, arriving Riverton 1-18 p.m. This train will NOT stop at wayside stations. Afternoon train to Orepuki will leave Invercargill 5.40 p.m., Thornbury 7.1, Riverton 7.22, arriving Orepuki 8.33 p.m. with train to Waihoaka). This train will NOT stop between Invercargill and Makarewa except to lift passengers for beyond Makarewa. Special train will leave Riverton 5.2-0 p.m., arriving Invercargill 6.34 p.m. This train will NOT stop at wayside stations. Special train will leave Riverton 5.40 p.m.. arriving .Invercargill 6.;>< p.m. This train will NOT stop at wayside stations.. Aftbrnoon (rain to Divercargill w iU leave Orepuki 4.35 p.m., Colac 0.15 Riverton 5. 56, Thornbury 0.16. Makarewa 7.7 (conniecting with train to Lumsden-). arriving Invercargill < -36 p.m. Special train will leave Riverton б. p.m., Thornbury 6.53, arriving Invercargill 8.6 p.m. Usual afternoon train Nightcaps to Riverton will NOT run, but instead a special train for Thornbury will leave Nightcaps 5.0 p.m., Otautau racecourse 5.45, Otautau 5.55, arriving Thornbury 6.40 p.m. (connecting with trains to Orepuki and Invercargill). Evening train to Nightcaps will leave Thornbury 7.2 p.m. (alter arrival of trains from Orepuki and Invercargill)! Otautau racecourse 8.0, arriving Nightcaps 8.45 p.m. Passengers from Riverton for Nightcaps Branch will require to leave Riverton by 6.30 p.m. train, and transfer into branch train at Thornbury. All trains will, if required, stop opposite Otautau racecourse for passengers. Evening train to Hedgehope will leave Winton 8.10 p.m. (connecting with trains from Invercargill and Lumsden),
Unless specially stated to the contrary, trains mentioned herein (excepting Mail and Express trains) will (if requii’ed) stop at all stations and flag stations- to lift or put down pas u sengers. For full particulars of trains and for holiday excursion fares between
all stations (issued from 17th December to 2nd January) and special fares for local events, see posters and separate handbills, or enquire at stations. For .New Year arrangements see future advertisements, spearate handbills, or enquii’e at stations. Goods traffic will be suspended, and all goods sheds CLOSED on Christmar Day, Boxing Day, Ist January, and 2nd January. Admittance to Invercargill Platform from 22nd December to 3rd, January (both dates inclusive) will be granted to holders of ordinary or platform tickets only. BY ORDER.
