Owing to the instructions issued by the Pope to the Roman Catholic clergy in France not to give notice of assemblies for religious purposes, the Cabinet declare that they will soon make it clear that even disorder or civil war will be unable to make the church cause triumphant. The Government is determined that the clergy, who are the officials of foreign governments, shall not rule France. The Pope’s repeesentativo has been expelled from the country. The Papakaio murder case is set down for hearing next Monday, when it isi expected that the Crown will be ready to go on with it.
