EVERY Householder can become the owner of the property he or she occupies by applying to the Southland Building and investment Society & Bank of Deposit, which has always ample funds at its disposal to lend to those who may require temporary monetary assistance, or to those who may desire to acquire a freehold property of their own. All that is necessary is that the borrower should possess either one-third or onefourth of the value of the property submit- > ted, as the case may be, or have, by investing shares in the Society, accumulated this sum, when the Society will advance the rest of the purchase money. Repayments can be made fortnightly, monthly, quarterly, or half yearly, at the borrower’s option. Every borrower gets a share of the profits, so that the benefit is direct. The Society does not build houses for its clients It allows each individual to build according to any plan' that may be desired ; but plans and specifics, tions are already prepared, and can be obtained by anyone free of cost, if so desired.
