SOUTHLAND RIFLE CLUB.
On Wednesday afternoon the final stages (10 shots at 500 and 600yds) were fired for Captain Johnston’s trophy, eleven members competing. The wind was very troublesome, and prevented very high scoring for the most part. Mr John Johnston, who shot very steadily throughout, proved tbewHnner, closely followed by Mr Jas Rit3hie, who also shot well from the limit mark. Appended are the principal scores —
