A German capitalist has made a proposal to Mr Reeves, the New Zealand Agent-General respecting the growth and making of beet sugar. The proposal has been forwarded to Mr Seddon. (By Telegraph.) AUCKLAND, October 22. Intelligence has been received in Auckland that the London market is at the present without any animation, and that no immediate revival is looked for. Its present condition is" attributed to the uncertainty regarding the Presidential election in the United States, and to the unsettled state of affairs in Turkey.
