Population Births. Deaths. Deaths per 1000.
The deaths of persons not residents of , Boroughs, occurring at hospitals, Ihave been excluded in all cases. The total births in the above Boroughs amounted to 496, against 458 in July, an increase of 38. The deaths amounted, to 164 in August, an increase of 27 on jthe number for July. VOf the above deaths, males contn'butted 100, females 64. Sixty-sixof the deaths were of children under 5 years of age,* being 40.24 per cent of the whole nhmber; 39 of (these were children under one year of age.
