RAINBOW FAIR.

Although the Anglican Guild did not attain their obective in their leixnt effort due undoubtedly to inelnmerit weather, nevertheless it was otherwise an unquestioned success, and reflected j;reat credit on all who organised and those who patronised it. The arrange uient of the decorations proved a very artistic attraction and the heavily burdened stalls w is a sure testimony that the object was an appreciated onn. The proceeds were nearly £60 and the Guild is gratefully satisfied with such a s^ood result under the circumstances. The winners of the competitions proved to be :—The doll, correct name, "D^r mot," Dr. Shaw ; second choice, "Patrick," Mr Holliday. Three ti«d for the cake, namely, Mrs W. Wadding. Miss R. Lawrie and Mr Clifton. The cushion was won by Mrs B. Taylor.. Two tied fur the slippers, viz, the Mispeß EWy and Lloyd Miss E. CastlatOTi was the successful entrant for <he box of chocolates with A Reed and I. Watson close seconds. Mrs Murray was the winner of the trousseau set. The evpning fnncion wifh the fioe waltzing competitions and suWantial Mipper was thoroughly enjoyed by all j»r«sent anrl VV. Pitcairn'H well encored jpcitations proved an appreciated sur prise item
