KAIPARA FLATS

The Kaipara Flats Cricket Club journeyed to Warkworth oa Saturday 13th, and met the Omaha team in a friendly game. Tauhoa team beat Kaipara Flats last Saturday week by 27 runs on the Ist innings. TENNIS. _ Tennis is getting quite the thing at Kaipara Flats now, and some of the new chums are getting on splendidly. MOISTURE REQUIRED. Rain is still badly needed in this 1 district. Feed is getting very short, ana the turnip crops (of which there are a good few this year) are sorely in need of the stimulus of moisture. OFF TO THE WAR. Another -of our local boys, Mr Vipond, has gone to the war. We wish him luck.
