An Irish labourer, who had been imbibing with a companion all even. ing, subsequently brought an action against him for assault and robbery.
Magistrate: "Tut, tut, Myles! shure Barney wudn't be doin' inything till yez afther spindin' the whole evening in good fellowship. Ye've dhramed id roight enuff."
, Myles: "Well, yer wurshap, isn't id a thrue seyin' thet dhrames cum true miny's a toime, an' faith maybe he did id all the same?"
Magistrate: "But we can't convict a man jist on chance wurrk loike thet.' 1
Myles :"Thin, if id plaze yer wurshap, bind him over till spind another evenin' wid me, an' Oi'll dhrame id agen. Maybe Oi'll catch the spulpeen nixe toime."
