Death of Nurse Toovey.

We intimated in last issue that Nurse Tooyey was seriously ill. She had been sinking for some days, and on Thursday morning last the end came. Mrs Toovey had resided in the County for something like 40 years. For many years she kept the Bridge Boardinghouse, which with her sen vices as maternity nurse brought her into contact with a wide circle. Her kindheartedness and cheerful disposition were well-known. The interement took place on Friday afternoon, in the presence of a large gathering, the Rev. P. R. Paris officiated. Mrs E. T. Boler, of Tauhoa, Mrs R. Heywood, of Warkworth, are daughters of the deceased. Mr T, It, Edwards, of Red Bluff, and Mr A, Toovey, of Streamlands, are sons.

None could be a better judge of that than I, and I can say it was always done (while I was associated with her) to the best of her ability, and with a great and willing cheerfulness. \s the physjeians in attendance could say of bur late jpng, so{ can say of Mrs Toovey, that a less earnest devotion, to duty might havef^BgPs"*^- '■r'j\~7---a longer life, and surek^^^..*—-■"'? praise could be given v" Thanking va^" i '\ ' x -
