CRICKET.
At Marten Park on Saturday a game was played between A and B Teams. B Team won the toss and elected to bat. The display given by Coltbart was worth going a long way to see. His quota was a good forceful 74 not out. J. D. Smith also shaped well for 15, succumbing to an extra special from K. Marshall. The bowling honours were divided by K. Marshall 3 for 18, and W. Burgess 4 for 534. A Team compiled 159 for 4 wickets when rain forced the drawing of stumps for the day. K. Marshall 53, G. L. Marshall 40 not out and Burgess 31 not out, played good sound cricket, boundary hits being very numerous.
