BULLS PRESBYTERIAN SUNDAY SCHOOL PICNIC.

On Wednesday afternoon the Bnlls Presbyterian Sunday School children combined with the members of theParewanui (juvenile) Bible Classes, in a picnic at Mr Whisker’s farm. About sixty children and twenty adults were present, and a most enjoyable time was spent. “ The programme for the afternoon consisted of the usual children’s games and competitions. The tugs-of-war between the Bnlls children and the Parewanui children (boys 7 a-side, girls 5 a-side) were very keenly contested, and resulted in wins for Parewanui. Thelma Canning, of the Bulls School, was first in the girls’ high jump; A. Timmins, of the Parewanui School, was first in the boys’ high jump. Time did not permit many races to be run, hut the few running events which were held were characterised by "big fields’’ and "close finishes.’’ The thanks of the staff are due to Mr Whisker for the use of his property, and for the many ways in wliich lie helped to make the picnic a success; to Mr Gardner for the use of his motor-lorry; to the many friends who provided food, prizes, etc., and to those who gave- personal help on the ground.
