A Presbyterian Missionary, in Northern Arabia, in a despatch, describes the awful sufferings of the Armenians. At Meskene he saw women and children throw themselves into " trenches and beg the grave diggers to bury them. The Armenians here have no bread nor tents. At Bama he saw seven thousand deportees, 'of whom three thousand were naked, living on locusts and dogs. Men dig graves while await-’ ing death. He often saw whole rows of ghastly forma rise out of graves to beg for bread and water. Tbe number of starving at Hama, Rekka and Meskene exceeds thirty thousand. Oases are reported of fighting over bodies of the dying in order to obtain food.

It is announced that the Armenian population is to be removed to other parts of thejJTnrkish Empire owing to the spread of revolutionary movements which, it is 'feared, points to fresh cruelties.

German agents report that Falkenhayn will succeed Von Hollweg at the end of September. A new submarine campaign will be commencing on October Ist.
