Dalgetj and 00. report on their Taihape sale on Wednesday, sth inst., as follows: —A small yarding of cattle and a very good entry of sheep came to hand, the whole of which was disposed of with the exception of one pen. Quotations: —Potter ewes to ?4s Id, mixed aged ewes in low condition 4s 6d to 5s lOd, late shorn 5-year ewes to 6s 6d, late shorn 4 and 5-year ewes Gs 5d to 7s lOd, medium 4 and o-year ewes 8s 6d, better sorts to 10s 2d, small ewes 10s lid, good to 14s 6d, forward ewes 10s 3d to 10s 10d, 3 and 4-tooth wethers to 13s 3d, aged Romney rams 11s to 275, aged Lincoln rams to 1 % guineas, medium mixed lambs 7s .55 to 7s lOd, good mixed lambs 8s 3d to 9s, weauer steers S4s, bulls to £2 10s, store cows £2 3s, empty cows £3 2s 6d, light fat heifers £4 10e, fat heifers £4 10s, fat cows £5 11s. At Palmerston North sale there was a medium yarding of sheep and cattle offered ’to usual attendance of buyers We quote: —JUambs 7s 7d, s.m. ewes Ss, 2, 4 and 6-tooth ewes 11s lOd to Is, fat ewes l2s, 3-tooth wethers 10s, store cows £1 8s to £3 10s, weaner steers 17s. A line of 2 fat and forward bullocks sold on account of Manson’s Estate realised £B. New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., ;Ltd., report:—At Palmerston North on Thursday we had a good entry of cattle. We quitted practically the whole of oar entry, prices being in favour of buyers. Sheep: Forward ewes I.ls Sd. Cattle: Woaners bad coloured steers 14s to 20s, weaner heifers 27s to 31s, store cows £3 4s to £3 3s, forward cows £3 5s to £3 13s, fat cows £4 11s to £5, heifers in calf £3 8s Gd, springing heifers £5 18s 6d, hulls £7 16s. Loan & Mercantile report:—At Feilding on Friday we had a good entry of both sheep and cattle, and have to 'report a good clearance: — Sheep: Lambs 5s Gd, cull ewes and forward ewes 8s Gd to 9a, mixed age Romney ewea on account W. G. Pearce 13s Id, small 3 tooth wethers 11s 6d to 11s 7d, small 3 tooth ewes lls Gd, fatyewes 13s 9d, Southdowu rams 1 to 4gna, b.I. rams Ign. Cattle, weanera 25s to 395, weaner heifers 345, to 3Gs, Jersey cross heifers good £2 7s, store cows £2 8s to £3, forward do. £3 6s, fat cow £4 15s. At Eangiwahia on Tuesday we had a good yarding of sheep and a fair number of cattle. Business was dull, vendors’ reserves balngtm high. Quotations: Good mixed lamb# 7s lOd to 8s Id, wether lambs ,7s Bd, small lambs 5s Gd, good 3 tooth ewes 13s 9d, fat ewes 13s Bd, small weaner steers 20s, 34s Gd. Abraham & Williams, Ltd., re-port:—-At our Palmerston'North sale Held on Thursday, 6th March, 1931, we had a small yarding of sheep and a heavy yarding of cattle, which sold at the following prices: ■ —Sheep, rape lambs 8s Gd, small lambs Gs sci, cull ewes 4s 4cl, rams 10s to Cattle, year' steers £4 lls to £4 17s, yearling steers £2 41s, fat cows £4 lls to £6, forward cows £3 10s to £3 15s, store cows 12s 6d to 30s, yearling heifers £3 10s to £3 lls, springing heifers £7 ; 15s, cows and oalyes £4 Gs, weaner heifers 30s to £2 3s Gd, mixed ! weaners 15s to 37a Gd, bulls £2 5s to £3 7s to £7.
