STOCK REPORT. xvlesrs Freeman R. Jackson & Co. report:—At our sale at Wanganui on Wednesday we had a heavy yarding, viz., 770 cattle, 11,1500 sheep and 50 pigs. We had a full attendance of buyers, and most of the stock was disposed of before the day closed, at ruling rates. At Waverley sale on Friday, the 28th ult., we had a full yarding, viz., 500 eattle, 7400 sheep and 25 pigs, besides sundry furniS tore. We sold a fair proportion of the entry at late values. At Wanganui on Ist inst. the following racing stock was sold: Eduam, the dam of Labour Day 90gs; foal at foot by Elevation, 56gs; brown gelding Fisher, by Maniapoto, dam Eduam, 230 gs; bay colt, yearling, by Mauiapoto, dam Eduam, 30gs; brown gelding, 5 years, Advancer, by Advance, dam Taraveuto, 50gs; chestnut mare Arogance, by Eurociydon, dam Vanity, SOgs; bay mare Polycaste, by Nestor, 20gs; chestnut mare Imperious, by Impetus —Margot, I9gs; chestnut filly, £3 years, Fishermaid, 33gs. Abraham & Williams, Ltd., report on their Johusonville sale as follows: A good entry of both cattle and sheep came forward, and sold at much reduced rates: Prime bullocks £lO 8a to £lO 10a, lighter £9 1?* t‘° &V 17s 6d, light £9, veal era 30s to 335, gdC3 wethers 17s 6d to 17s 9d, medium wethefg 16s 6cl to 16s 9d, medium wethers 16s 6d to las to 16s 3d, medium ewes to 15s to 15s 6ci, prime lambs 13 Gd to 13s Bd, medium lambs 12s 6d, plains 11s Id to 11s 6d, prime shorn 12s.

Loan and Mercantile report:—At Baninai on Tuesday we had a fair entry of sheep and cattle. Sheep sold well, but cattle were inclined to drag. We quote .-—Sheep: Store ewes Os to 7s lOd, s.m, breeding ewes 10s del to 11s. Cattle: Store cows £2 to £2 14s od, forward heifers ;£d ds, springing heifers £5 13s 6d to £? 2s. bulls £d.
