INDIANS IN THE TRANSVAAL.

The Gokhale states that the situation of the Indians in the Transvaal is much worse since the overthrow of the Boers, while Ratal’s indentured system is almost slavery. So long as Europeans feared Indian invasion there was no chance of reasonable ■ conditions. It favoured the restriction of immigra-tion-and insisted on the rights of Indians alread}"- there.
