A JOCKEY IN TROUBLE,

In the Farewell Handicap at Lake County races yesterday, a complaint was made that J. Beale, the rider of Officious, used offensive language to the Clerk of the Scales and others. Beale was brought before the steward and suspended for twelve months. At a meeting of the stewards to-day, however, a fine of £5 was imposed instead of suspension. MARTON J.C. MEETING.
