RAGING FIXTURES. Dec. 11 and 12—Rangitikei Summer. Dec. 26 and 30, and Jan. 1 and 2. Auckland R, O. Jan. 1 and 2—Marion J. O. RANGITIKEI RACING CLUB. The Rangitikei R. O. Meeting, which opens to-morrow, should! attract a large crowd of sports from various parts of the Dominion, and as the weather promises to be fine racing should be very interesting and enjoyable. Since the reinstatement of "this Club the officials have all worked hard, and they have introduced the silent totalisator, which will be in charge of Mr Hugh Roberts. The grounds and surroundings are in splendid order, and the going should be very fast. Luncheon and afternoon tea will be provided by Dustin’s,"Ltd,, and an excellent programme of music has been put forth by Bulls Brass Band, which will play under the baton of Conductor Hinkley. Racing starts with the Scott Memorial, six furlongs, in which Dearest heads the list. The field comprises eight, and includes such speedy ones as Rangiatua and Labour Day. The Maiden Scurry, 7 furlongs, comes next, A field of ten are engaged, including Yladinoy and Fassadena. In the Ohakea Hurdles, 1% miles, some good jumpers are engaged, including Euroco, Sandy Paul, Bollin, and Hawick. ' In Vthe Parewanui Hurdles, miles, eleven have accepted. Amongst them are old Rendrocb, who when racing at Feilding last week showed a glimpse of his old form. Chief Marshall with top weight is a good one, and Sunrose and Moahau should alsd ra ' run prominently. . r The Rangitikei - Cup .which is always a very popular race with horse-owners, has ten of a field left to face the starter. Byron with 8.9 heads the list, and others that have been running 'well of late Ngatimaru, Mendip, Master Laddo and The Rover.

The largest field of the day is engaged in the Carnarvon Hack Handicap, six furlongs. Some very fast hacks are engaged and hackers will have a hard task to sort out the winner. Lord Lupin is supposed to be something above the ordinary, and other quick beginners are Patronale, Tetikura, Manakau, Expect and War Queen. Twelve have accepted in the Makowai Welter and another good race should result. Waipaku heads the list with 8.11, and is a very fast beginner. Others that have been doing good work of late are Stepney, Ascalon and Muleteer.

The Pukenui Welter, 7 furlongs, concludes the day’s racing, and a field of 18 are still left in. Moutoa Girl, Awahou, Allure and Sam Pan should run prominently.
