Before the Marconi Committee J. A. Taylor, wireless _ engineering adviser to the Post Office, admitted that he had purchased Marconi shares on which he made a profit of 50 per cent. It was a bona fide investment [and he was not influenced by the possibility of a Government contract. He added that Mr Samuel viewed the speculation seriously and reduced witness in rank.
