* United Press Association. —By Electric Telegraph. —Copyright. Melbourne, November 19. For the inter-State tennis meeting there was dull weather. The courts were soft. Interest lay chiefly in the match, Dunlop and Brooks v. Wright and A. B. Jones. The latter pair were brilliant frequently, but their opponents were magnificent throughout, winning 6—3, 6—o. Brookes’ serving, volleying, and overhead work won many sets, drawing off , the ground with more pace than usual. The same pair beat Kidston and Anderson, 6—4, 6—o. Lycett and Heats were below form, but won; all their matches, beating Anderso'u and Kidston 6—3, 6—6, 9—7, and Marsh and Metcalfe 6—4, 7—5. O’Hara Wood and Gamnbeli beat Anderson and Wright, 7—5, 4—6, B—6.8 —6. Wood’s remarkably fine work off the ground and his volleying were splendid. In the . men’s open doubles, Marsden and C. Ballantyne bat© Olliver and Ballantyne, 6—4, 6—3:
