Last night, while a prominent leader of the Waihi Engine Drivers Union was working in the engine rocm at Ralph’s mine a stone crashed through the window. All the Waihi Fecleratiomsts have departed for Auckland. HUNTLY QUIET. Huntly is remarkably quiet, though the opinion is expressed that but for the increased force of police in the town there would have been some hostile demonstrations by the Federatiouists. At present t.iero is no indication of anything to cause uneasiness. THE POLICE FORCE. The police force are 43 strong, including 1-1 from Auckland and 2b from. Wellington and Wanganui. Eleven more arrive from- Napier this afternoon. It is almost impossible to obtain accommodation owing to the influx oi Federatiouists and families from Waihi, and many of the police are camped on the. floor of the Courthouse.
