Press Association. Napier, March 17. The Napier Park Racing Gluo’s Aaramn Meeting opened to-day in dull weatlur, but the day afterwards turned out fine. There, was a big attendance. The ooarfe was .somewhat sodden. Totalizator investments totalled £5551. a decrease ot £2045, while bookmakers’ fees totalled £lB6 Results : Omaranni Hack Hurdles, 1% miles.—Hipporofla 1, Commander 2, Waikareao 3. Also ran: Erl King, Prince Hassan, Nero and Cee Spring. Won by a neck. Time, 3min 23seo. Esk Hack Handicap, 5 furlongs.— Inez 1, Miscast 3, Pearl Reef 3, Alsor an: Yoetgang, Taumano, Cork, Obscurity, Wonderbohm and Mayflower. Won by two lengths. Time, Imia 4seo, Napier Cup, 1% miles.—Wood hey 1, Sandstream 2, Ohauteuse S. Also ran : Gold Lace, Uenuko, Waipakn, Osiris and Berengaria. Ohautsnse led to the caretaker’s bend where Wood hey, who Had occupied third berth all round, shot to the ;front and won easily by ten lengths. Time, 2mln 12sec. Trial Hack Stakes, 6 furlongs.— Fiddler 1, Mayflower 2, Ora Pinsent 3. Also ran: Hapuka, Impossible, Mundic, Master Stoat, Seraphic and Ariou. Won by two lengths. Time, Imin 20sec.
Welter Handicap, 7 furlongs. Golden Gate *l, Maiora 2, Seaton Dale 3. Only starters. Won all the way. Time, Imin 36sec.
Sapling Stakes, 0 furlong?,— Glissade 1, Ideate 2, Golden Water 3. Also ran: Meriwa, Scots Fusilier, Bandoliero and Reformist. Won by a length. Time, Imin osec. Redcliff Hack Welter, one mile.— Continuance 1, Roselethe 2, Gold Treasure 3. Also ran : Spate, Jackpot, Waipu, Sealer, Nadyne, Mcka. Won by a length. Time, Imin ,49seo. Flying Handicap, 6 furlongs.— Diamond Star 1, Stylish 3, Bohrikoff 3., Also ran: Chamois. Won by a length. Time. Imin 18sec. At Shannon Races yesterday Mr G. Delaney’s b.g.
