The Minister having granted the committee the right of advertising in Nelson and on the West Coast, and also given an extension of time which was due the district owing to limited population. MANY BOOKS have been returned unsold, and those so returning same are requested to write and get more books; they can post them away to their friends outside the district, and thus indirectly advertise the Art Union, which, owing to the excellent prizes, appeals to outsiders. MANY PEOPLE forgot to send back their blocks and money for same, and they are requested to do so at once, so that the Art Union Committee can see how they stand from time to time. POST AWAY BOOKS. Many have done so already, with excellent results. Out of 30 books posted to one small town not one came back. Yon can do the same and help get in outside money for the Wounded Fund. HELP THE ART UNION. There are thousands in Marlborough who have not yet bought a book, just because they wore not pressed, or it was not convenient at the time to buy one. Many who have already bought will buy more. £ISOO for Ilia the best prize ever offered in the Dominion, and for the best of causes. £BOO for 1/though the second prize, is far larger than many first prizes offered elsewhere.
