LAND BOARD.

The monthly meeting of the Marlborough Land Board was held in Blenheim on Tuesday. There were present; The Duputy-Commissioner of Crown Lands (Mr H. D. McKellar), Messrs J. Fulton, J. S. Storey, and A. MacLay. The Under-Secretary for Lands intimated that the Education Department required an area of 3 acres of section 15, Block X., Linkwater S. D., for a school site. —Held over in order that the local School Committee might have an opportunity to consider the area to be reserved, and also that the Education Department might obtain the Committee's views on the matter. The Board considered the question of the disposal of Education Reserve, part section 19, Block XVI., Wakamarina S.D., containing 64 acres, held by Wm. E. Swafford, whose lease expires on 4th June next. —Lease for a term of 21 years with perpetual right of renewal for further terms of 21 years under section 5 of ' the Public Bodies Leases Act, 1908, offered to present lessee at rent for the first term of £ls per annum. * The Board considered the disposal of Educational Reserve, part section 19, Block XVI., Wakamarina S.D., containing 46 acres approx., held by Allen J. Farnoll, whose lease expires on 4th proximo.—Lease for a term of 21 years with perpetual right of renewal for further terms of 21 years under section 5 of the Public Bodies Leases Act, 1908, offered to present lessee at rent for the first term of £lB per annum. TRANSFERS AND SUBLEASES, Section 26, .Block 1., Wakamarina S.D., 11 acres 3roods 28 perches, and section 27, Block 1., Wakamarina S. D., 13 acres 1 rood 15 perches; transfer from D. W. Mclsaac to R.
