HIGH COMMISSIONER’S MARKET REPORT. The following cablegram has been received from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, dated London, sth May, 1917: Butter. —The market has a firmer tone since last report. Danish butter, 204 s to 208 s; N.Z. butter, salted 204 s to 2065, unsalted 204 s to 208 s; Australian, salted 190 s to 1945, unsalted 192 s to 1965; Irish creamery, 190 s to 1945; Argentine, unsalted 186 s to 188 s, unsalted 188 s to 1925.

Cheese. —Market continues firm. Canqjlian white and coloured, 1625; States flats, 160 s; estimated Canadian and States cheese stocks, London, Livcrpol and Bristol, 23,000 bozes, against 74,000 at same time last year. New Zealand cheese, Port of Liverpool official figures give stock as 6700 crates.
