The “Farmer and Settler” says;— Lime-sulphur concentrated solution has been given a trial for the first time in the Yetholme orchards, near Bathurst, N.S.W., this season, Bordeaux mixture has been the usual wash., but it has been found in wet seasons to be Ineffective, and also to cause russetting of the fruit. This th. 3 lime-sulphur does not do, and the results so far indicate its being a successful wash for combating black spot. In the Canoblas orchards, near Orange, N.S.W., pow r dory mildew has been treated very successfully wiih flowers of sulphur dusted on the trees and also by spraying with concentrated lime-sulphur solution.
