METHODIST LADIES’ GUILD.
The Methodist Ladies’ Guild held a meeting on Wednesday afternoon at the residence of Mrs Pope, Bay View. A number of ladies were present. Mrs Pope, president, occupied the chair, and on behalf of the Guild extended a welcome to Mrs Boagey and Mrs Matliieson. Business matters in connection with the bazaar held in November were finally dealt with. The ' Guild expressed its .thanks and appreciation to 1 Mrs Walker, vice-president, on whom was the main responsibility, and all workers and friends for their generous assistance and self-denying labours. Matters in connection with the future working of the Guild were discussed but hold over for consideration at the annual meeting, which is to be held on the President’s return from Australia. The Guild expressed its pleasure that the Conference had reappointed Rev. and Mrs Aker to remain another year. A vote of thanks was passed to the President for providing afternoon tea.
