HAVELOCK SUBURBAN

A very enjoyable dance, in aid of the Havelock Defence Rifle Club, took place in the Havelock Suburban Hall on Friday evening. About 30 couple occupied the floor, which was in perfect condition for dancing. Amongst the visitors were a party of about fifteen from Havelock. The arrangements in connection with the social were excellent, and, the ladies who kindly undertook to supply the supper left little to be desired in that direction. Mr W. McDowell supplied the music, and Mr F. McMillan acted as Master of Ceremonies. During the evening Mrs Marriott contributed a song, which was much appreciated. Dancing was kept up till about 2 a.m.
