WHO SIGNED FIRST ? Mr. Robeson L. Low, manager oC; the banking department of the Title Guarantee and Trust Company’s Jamaica branch, prides himself upon the fact that one of his ancestors was a signatory of the Declaration of Independence. A few days ago, Alfred Cohen, a wealthy young man of Jamaica, walked into the Title Guarantee and. Trust Company’s office, and found 1 Mr. Low signing a number of cheques. He watched him for a few minutes, then said : “You’re quite a signer aren’t you?’’ “I ought to be,” replied Mr. Low, straightening up a bit. “One of my ancestors was a signer of the Declaration of Independence.” “Huh !” remarked Cohen. 'T guess you haven’t got much on me. One jof my ancestors signed the Ten Commandments !” 1833.
